My dog is 17+ and was just wondering.

Well, the BRAND is mainly up to you, but keep in mind the different benefits of a certain food. Look for a good food that is made especially for senior dogs, and also, look for one that will help keep the bones strong, because senior dogs need that as they get older. I recomend Eukanuba.

Is he a largre breed of dog? If so I would recommend Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed Lamb and Rice Senior. Its all natural products and meats, its very healthy for your dog, its about $30 for a 40LB bag but totally worth it. If your dog doesnt like it Nutro will take it back and refund you.

Is IAMS dog food on the list of foods from WalMart that can be poisonous to my dog?

I think that what ever your feed your dog right now is great. You and your care has gotten him to 17+ years old. Why mess with success!
