ho much will my insurance go up, Im a careful driver, just this once got in trouble, but will never do it again. I pay 40 dollars a month now, what am I looking for as far as an increase.

If it's your first time, go to traffic school. You'll pay the same fine, but no points will go on your license.
For your previous question:
Your insurance premiums go up and down based on number of points as well as any money they have to pay out on account of accidents (which often include points anyway).
Traffic school basically gives you a pardon from the DMV and insurance, but you can only do it once every two or three years.

It depends upon your insurance company. Typically 5% to 10%.
