The man, should just go out with his friends and try to find someone else. There's a saying in Arizona, "15 will get you 20 sometimes more." Basically, a man over 21 should not be associating with anyone under 18 no matter how good looking they are.
For several reasons: A. It's a against to law to have sexual relations with a minor.
B. The maturity factor. A 16 year old girl is not mentally compatible with a male over 21.

When i was in school, one of my classmates (female, 15years old) fell in love with a guy (25years old). At the time we all thought this was crazy, but they came together, kept the relationship for themselves for that time and are happily married for about 10years now. But they stayed away from having sex (at least openly, if they had, nobody knew)
My grandma met my grandfather when she was 17 and he was 28 years old, they courted for 2 years and then got married... Age is not really something you should judge a relationship with. It is the way the two are caring for each other.
If they love each other, they can be together until they feel their relationship is acceptable for the society they live in and then come out.
What he should do is standing by her at all times, leave her the room a young woman needs to have for her personal development, and refrain from pressing her to do anything she is not ready for yet.
How pretty she is should not be a concern.
By the way, people here are talking about illegal. That really depends on the country you live in. In most countrys in europe for example it is quite legal to have a relationship with someone who is 16. It is just not legal to have sex with them. And even then there are exceptions if the parents of the minor feel it is alright.

well my question is...are you really in love with her or just cuz you want to take advantage of her?
you are 23. and she is 16. when i was 16 i fell for a 23 yr old.
the older one should know better. keep your distance otherwise it might turn out for the worst.

Well he shouldn't do anything with her. If he does, that's statutory rape and he could end up on the sex offender registration for the rest of his life. Besides that, even if she's pretty, she still probably has a curfew and lives with her parents. She's not old enough to get into any of the clubs and probably wouldn't have much in common with his college age friends. My advice, wait until you're 18, if you still feel the same about this guy....then try to get with him.

That is a very unwise thing for a sixteen year old girl. She is still in high school, while he has already graduated from collage. I would wait until your at least 20 before you have your relationship go anywhere. So for right now, just enjoy your life and put off your feelings for him for a little while.

Pretty has nothing to do with love, this is a very stupid thing that people say these days.
I love someone 40 years older than me, so try dealing with that!

It is not bad to fall in love even if it's against all odds. It's human nature. Don't mind what the society will tell about your relationship.. The society view that as abnormal.. but for LOVE, it is just the flow.. Go with the flow man! If you really love that woman.. Don't mind the people around you who will judge you from the outside.. OK?
Prove them that your worth it to become her guy.
Teach her the things that can help her in her life. I know for sure that she will treasure the things that you've teach her. OK?

I'd say wait 2 years.
There are 3 complications involved in an illegal relationship:
Her parents, the police, soap on a rope.
Tell her the facts, and if she gets mad, that's tough. You can't risk your own well-being just for a crush.

He should be mature enough to let her go until she's of legal age.
It doesn't matter if she pretty, gorgeous, stunning, or beautiful. He'd still land himself in jail if anything were to happen.
