As a mother of 4 unexpected pregnancies I can tell you pregnancy tests now a days are pretty accurate starting on your first late day. If you took one yesterday, you were technically 4 days late so it should be pretty accurate. However urine tests are not the most accurate tests.
The best time to do it is your first urine of the day when the pregnancy hormone is most concentrated. However on your 4th day with modern pregnancy tests even if you didn't take your first sample it should be pretty accurate. If you did the one with 1 line = not pregnant, and 2 lines = pregnant. Look closely to make sure there is NO SIGN of that second line. If the second line is there even BARELY then you're most likely pregnant. You can take another test tomorrow. But if you REALLY need to know your best bet is a blood test.

Some home pregnancy tests can give a false negative result so if your period doesn't come within the next few days it may be a good idea to do another one just to make sure. Your period could be late for other reasons like being stressed for example so try not to worry and stress. I think first thing in the morning is best as thats when you have the most of the pregnancy hormone in your urine. Good luck and hope everythings ok.

Wait 1 week if you still haven't had your period take it again in 2 weeks. If it comes up positive well then you know. But if if comes up negative go to the doctor and have blood work done. If there is anything it will show up in that. Actually you could go get blood work done now and they could tell you.

One reason a woman does not have her period is because she is under a lot of stress.
Wait awhile and go to the doctor--the above woman was spot on when she mentioned false negatives.

Hcg usually doubles every 2-3 days...so you can either take one tomorrow or the next day...use first morning urine because it is the most concentrated...Good Luck!
