A man went to the pet store to buy a parrot. He found one he liked and the employee there said he would repeat anything the man said. So the man went home, went up to the parrot and said "Hello". The parrot said nothing. He kept trying but the parrot wouldn't talk. He went back to the pet store and asked the employee what was wrong. The employee explained that he had forgotten to tell him that he needed to put the parrot in the freezer for 30 seconds. So the man did. After he pulled the parrot out, it wouldn't stop talking. The man went back to the employee and asked how that worked. The employee said "Well wouldn't you start to talk after you saw a frozen chicken in the freezer?"

Yeah, not bad. Here's another one for you.
After a week of repeating to my Parrot "Polly wants a cracker - Polly wants a cracker", she finally picked it up.
After a few weeks she copped an attitude. Didn't say Polly wants a cracker any more. Every time I'd walk into the kitchen she'd go, "Pssssst", and point to the saltines.
