My boyfriend and I are both 15. We have been going out for one month, and I still haven't told my parents. According to them, I am allowed to go on group dates at 15, but no single dates until 16. The problem is, I've told them that I am just friends with him so that I can go to his house without other people being there. How can I tell them that I am dating him?
My relationship with my parents is ok, but I never really tell them much because I'm afraid of them telling everyone outside my immidiate family, and I will be teased. And I get good grades in school, I am a freshman, and very responsible (no drinking, drugs, etc.)

His parents know, and when I go to his house they are always there.

We haven't had sex or anything, just kissed. I don't plan on having sex yet, not until I'm atleast 18. He doesn't either, and both of us are Christian.

Mom and Dad, I have a boyfriend.

That is how you do it. Be honest and direct.

You will be ok. Trust your parents to do and say the right thing.

Good luck

If you are so responsible then why are you going behind your parents back sneaking around and lying to them about this BF.....so that you can go to his house by yourself.....yeah that really looks.....i guess you are aspiring to be a mom at 15 -16 yrs old......Why don't you show yourself a little respect....and stop making your self look like you are easy. Your parents will not trust you, because you have lied to them (yeah that's being responsible) once you tell than that he is your BF....their trust for you is GONE....because they will then know that you have been over to his house...just the 2 of you, and chances are pretty good that the two of you have had sex......you need to do better by yourself.....you need to respect yourself, then ppl will respect you.....but when you do things like this.....then the boys that you date will not respect you or your body, because you don't respect yourself......you are well on your way to a wonderful reputation that your parents will be so proud of.

Just tell them that you are going out with him. They should be able to trust you at the age of 15 mine did.

Just flat out tell them. Most parents will be angry, but glad that you told the truth. There's the issue of trust here. Your parents will give you more slack if they think they can trust you.

tell your parents right now. if you hide it and they find out somehow and IF you have lied to them it will make things very hard on everybody involved

well, i think it would be ok to tell them but make sure they understand that you really dont want them to tell anyone either because of how you feel. i think it is fair.
