Insurance companies typically do not have access to your driving record, only the number of points on your license. If you complete traffic school, you will not have any points on your license and your insurance will not go up. Also, since you were 10 over on a limited access road, it may not have any points assigned.

Have you had other tickets? In CA you can get a ticket forgiven if you go to traffic school however, you can only have a certain number that can be handled that way. I think it is one every 18 months. Our traffic schools are a joke but it fulfills the requirement.

Go to traffic school and don't get caught again. Safeco will never find out.

Most insurance companies still raise the price but not as much if you take traffic school. Your insurance company will be notified by the state about your traffic ticket unfortunately.

Not sure there - US? In Canada any such information is available to any insurer and policing authorities instantly. I expect the same is true there. Whether or not it increases your premiums is up to your insurer... but I wouldn't make a habit of speeding!

Yes. Traffic school saves you from more points on your driving record, not from higher insurance premiums.

normally no, usually if you take traffic court they do not apply points and just dismiss the case
