As a dog trainer, I must say that Mini Schnauzers are among my least favorite dogs.
Not that it is the dogs' fault.
Schnauzers are high, HIGH energy dogs. PLEASE, for the safety of the general public-- TRAIN AND WALK YOUR DOG EVERY DAY.
Schnauzers are also very smart, fun little critters when they get what they need. Which is a lot of exercise, and a lot of interesting things to think about (i.e., training of ANY kind -- even tricks!).
Enroll in puppy class as soon as you can. Read books about training puppies, and about Schnauzers as a breed. Find people who own NICE Schnauzers and talk to them about raising yours.
LOTS OF WORK, BUT WELL WORTH IT!

It won't take any time at all to train him. They are incredibly smart. They get really excited easily though and are quite yappy.
Still the greatest dog in the world.

adopt one. dont buy from breeder.
