Is there a difference between dairy products made from summer milk and winter milk?

I've heard that some cheese are only made with cream milked from cows in the summer months. Is there a difference or is it anectodal?

In the past maybe there was a small difference due to the feed that was available during the winter. Now I am sure that the same feed is the available year round. I do know that the milk can be changed by what is eaten. Some milk will be discarded if the cows get into undesireable food/ weeds.
