I am 14 and have never had a boyfriend before. I don't really feel ready to date right now. If I do find someone I really like in high school, do you think I will feel ready to start dating?

Yeah. I had the same problem. I didn't want to date when I started high school but I found a guy I really liked who treated me well and was very supportive of me. So we went out and I was perfectly ok with it. Just don't take things too seriously. Chances are, you will NOT marry this guy so you shouldn't be worried.

You will know when you are ready to date and despite what you may hear most 14 year olds aren't. The most important thing is to stay true to yourself; start dating when you feel ready not when you feel pressured to and more importantly when you do start dating never do anything you don't feel comfortable with. High school can be a fun and adventurous time. It can also be full of stresses and problems stay true to yourself and your feelings and you will never have any regrets.

If you don't feel ready, that's perfectly fine!! It will save you the heartbreak anyway. Just have fun with your friends, there will be time for boys.

If you find someone you like, then you know if you're ready. Relationships can be either simple or complicated and take a lot of work. Since your only 14, don't get into too serious relationship you're too young to worry. Just enjoy life and if a guy comes around that you like, give him a chance. If you're not ready, then you will know.

Don't worry about dating and feeling ready. You are still young, so you shouldn't feel ready yet. As you grow and mature you will ready to date someday. My advice to you is to don't focus on dating or not dating. Focus on school right now, as it is very important for the rest of your life. The most important thing is not rush into things. Don't let anyone talk you into anything you don't want to do. Be true to yourself and respect yourself. Have fun in high school, it will shape who you are in so many ways, enjoy it.

I think that if you feel this way about dating now, you are in the right track. Continue with school and become a professional. Worry about guys not, the majority of them are after one thing and one thing only, once the get it is Adios amigos. Focus on becoming the best that you can be, like the United States President, Then your Husband will be "The first Man".. Get it?. Presidents have been males always, so their wives are called "The first lady". So yours would be "The first Man" or Gentleman.. Hope this helps.. Will. :)

well, i think that its pretty much instinct. everyone learns i mean high school is when it all happens 90 percent of people find out what sexual preference they like in high school. but only 25 percent of " high school flames" last longer than 5 years after. i suggest you go to high school and date for fun. dont make any stupid comitments have fun. its the best four years of your life. dont ruin them by getting caught up in a guy. they are nice to be around but dont become obsessed with having a boyfriend its useless :D

Well you are still very young, and you have a whole life ahead of you! Don't be in a rush to date anyone and if you do make the right choices don't let them feed you with a whole bunch of nonsense. There are so many diseases out there so just wait until your older and always remember make the right choices!!

You'll know when the time comes. Plus, I'm a teen too and I haven't had a relationship yet either. If you really like the guy and you feel the guy truly likes you, you'll know if to say yes or not.
