ok im eating pineapple cored fresh from the store. is it bad to eat part of it then put it back in the fridge for later?

of course im the only one eating from it!! maybe my boyfriend but its not like we dont share saliva anyways!!

just don't leave it out for too long. when putting it back make sure you close it tightly and try to finish it before a week.

It's disgusting and unhygenic. Food hygiene regulations state food should be decanted into a clean container for storing in the fridge. Theres nothing wrong with opening the tin, taking as much as you need in a bowl etc and put the rest in a cup or another bowl then cover with cling wrap and store in the fridge. (or if its a jar take as much as you need in a bowl etc the just put the jar back in the fridge)

the bacteria form your saliva can cause mould to grow faster so maybe it's a good idea to transfer to a bowl before you eat it.

Is it your fridge? Is it your food? Do you share with many others? I say go for it if you aren't grossing out other household members.

yes,the saliva you leave in the jar causes bacteria to bulid in the jar
