I heard about this (multiple times from tv and reading) and it may happen but that would be blamed on the stupidity of the scientists; why would you need to create super intelligent robots that might over run us?

Not according to Christian Scripture it won't. In fact, this earth will not be destroyed by anything. God created this earth to be inhabited forever. There will be no computer take-over, no total nuclear end, no ozone layer gone and the world to burn to death, none of it.
This earth is eons and eons old, according to the Bible, not the 6000 years some say it is. Scripture declares that there was an earth age before this one, and there will be one more after this is done.
The age will change, but never the terafirma.
It will remain forever, and we will be living right here on earth in the eternity.
All the "death" you read of in the Bible for the end-times is not a physical death of the masses; it is spiritual death. That is prophecy, and it is coming to pass as we speak; people are spiritually deader than a hammer - you can hardly carry an intelligent conversation about Biblical fact even with many fellow Christians these days.
The downfall of man will be his lack of knowledge.
As a final note: It is not even the desire of Satan himself to have the world destroyed and all the people in it - why? because Satan has always wanted one thing right from the beginning: to be worshipped.
He won't have much worship if there is no world and nobody in it to worship him, ya know?

I don't think computers will destroy us, I think we'll destroy ourselves. BUT...
If people don't destroy the world first, then the Sun will turn into a dwarf star but in the process of doing so, it will expand, giving the Earth unlivable conditions. Explination: Right now the Earth sits in a very small area where life is possible, or at least human life. When the sun expands, as most stars do, the "livable" part of the solar system will move farther from Earth. Meaning, we'll all die.

Scientists don't say that. Sorry, but that's a science-fiction story. It's not held as a likely scenario by many scientists at all.
A.I. without mechanisms can't do anything. It can't turn your toaster or refrigerator into a killing machine.
Many of the so-called robots in the world today are very simple machines designed to do repetitive single tasks. These can't hurt you unless you get in the way of their pre-programmed motion.
There are automobiles that can steer themselves for the purpose of parking; eventually, they may be able to drive along specially designed roads and require little or no operator intervention. Still, their programming is designed for a single purpose.
A.I which speculators believe might take over the world just doesn't exist today. It can't take over your personal computer. It can't take over your cellular phone. It can't come close to matching a human mind in its capability to understand the world.
Maybe some day, it might improve, but the idea of taking over all of the electronics in the world is far fetched. "The Matrix" isn't likely to happen in any lifetime soon.

It is VERY likely A.I. will be a fact in 10 years!
A computer is NOW running, using parallel processing chips, developed by the military for spying, and it can see camouflaged objects that humans cannot see!
When the computer has no data to process, it DREAMS, no bull! it dreams, sorting out all the days activities, but in a surreal fashion, just like a human!
Be scared, be very scared, the terminator just could come true!

Scientists say this?! Please cite references. I know many a layperson has conjured up this wacky conspiracy theory, but scientists have much more important things to worry about. I don't really believe there are any respectable members of the scientific community that would make such a remark.
An other important point, the end of the world is a LONG way off... we may all die, but the earth will remain until engulfed by a black hole, or swallowed by the dying sun. None are likely to happen in the forseeable future.

I don't know for sure, but I often think of that. I think people will use a computer to help make the situation very, very bad. I don't think the world can be destroyed, but if North Korea had a better "World Computer " than us.....Pray, pray, pray.

Well, for one, I think you are crazy. Two, it is kind of likely but I have a bunch of computers and all of their artificial intelligence can't be cosumed itself so it doesn't know revenge. Something somewhere would have to control them and tell them to shut down or destroy all living life. So it is not very likely as you say becuase who would be evil or stupid eought to want to kill all human life or life as the world is known for?

If you want a good book by a secular "prophet" if I could call him that, I recommend "The Age of Spiritual Machines" by Ray Kurzweil, the inventor of a reading machine which reads printed text to blind people. I found it interesting because I believe he unwittingly describes in his book "the image of the beast" as mentioned in Revelation 13:14,15

Yes, we depend too much on technology. In the future, robots will be taking over. Cars are considered robots and so are computers. This actually now thinking about it, could be likely.
But there is some downsides i mean.. technology could turn off right, but what would mean our human intellect is stupid for creating such technology to kill us all?
