How often should a human poop?

I know this is a weird question, but my sister and I were having a discussion about our cousin and we were wondering if it was normal that she goes to the bathroom (for #2) every day. our cousin is 17 yrs.
Thanks...even though this might be the most awkward question ever.

Bowel movements should be 2 to 3 times a day. Of course main stream doctors will say something different. Look at a newborn baby, whose intestine is free from process food, chemicals, food colorings. They poop a lot.

My doc said 2 to 3 a day is best.
