It is Sunday night...I got my 13th tattoo Thursday afternoon. I got this tattoo done on my uppper right thigh and it still hurts really bad...hurts to touch...surrounding skin is still red and inflamed, warm...now i've noticed three or four red streaks going outwards from the tat..particularly over top of veins in my legs that you can see. I am unable to call my tattooist at this time. I know this isn't his fault...and that I haven't taken the proper care of it as I probably should have. This has never happened with any of my other tats. Just wanted to know what my next step should be and how quickly I should do it??

Redness that is spreading?? Streaks?? Sore?? Warm?? You do not want to call your tatooist. Definitely NOT. He/she is not a doctor. He/she gives you a tattoo and that's about it.

You have cellulitis, my friend. I would go to the ER, if I were you. Cellulitis spreads like wild fire. You don't want that infection getting into your blood stream or surrounding organs. And, besides, cellulitis scars, so you don't want your tattoo to be ruined. Go to the ER. You may get oral antibiotics, but if they've deemed it's gotten too bad, you'll get IV antibiotics. I had it around my eye a couple years back. I waited a couple days and since it was so close to my brain, I could have died if I had waited any longer. So, infections?? Not to be messed with.

After 13 of them you are still clueless as what to do, Have you ever heard of such a thing as a EMERGENCY room in a hospital! Any walking comic book would know that.

You shouldn't **** around with infections. I've never had a tatoo, but I would recommend going to the doctor ASAP. They'll probably give you some penicillin to help get rid of it.

It sounds to me like you may have blood poisoning, I'd go to the hospital and have this checked as you may not have time to wait until tomorrow. Do you have a fever?? Don't hold off on this, it's not going to just go away.

a bag full of ice and water will cool it down and take the pain away.
