hey! 40 is the best milestone! get out there in ya pj's, and enjoy a wild night on the town! you've survived 40 years on the earth and you should be proud as punch that you have friends around you that love you enough to want to make a fuss about it!

oh you must go out to the bars and dance on the tables, do karaoke and get drunk, make sure you reserve a table somewhere so you can be the center of attention, i cant remember too much about my 40Th but i heard alot of funny things i did, like i took the microphone from the DJ and did my own show,we had the best time ever!

Let your friends now what you want on YOUR b-day. After all, it is your day, not theirs. By the way, 40 is where life starts- I turned 40 on my way to Iraq so it cant be all that bad for you.

Do what my sister did, plan your own party. Worked out great for her, drank cosmos all night, rode in a limo and went dancing in a club in Montreal

its ur big day ( im 43 the wife is just gone 40) so u do what u want . what ever suits u tell ur mates to piss off and , in my opinion just go for a meal with ur close friends.
