You should ask your OB Gyn

Your baby does his/her major growing in the first trimester. However, I feel for you!!! As when I was pregnant with my first child; I had tooth aches. And the tooth aches were MUCH WORSE than any other pain I ever had!! I did take antibiotics, which helped me long enough to get through my first trimester.

However, it sounds as if you STILL are in lots of PAIN. I think that I would call my dentist & make an emergency appointment...... let him know just how much pain you are in!! And ask him about any concerns you may have.

it is not going to hurt your baby because the drainage when ingested gets digested by stomach. the drainage has white blood cells and dead bacteria and maybe some live ones too. to get to your baby the bacteria could have to cross the placenta but this would only happen if you become septic or have bacteria in your blood. the antibiotics you are taking are killing the the bacteria so you should not have anything to worry about.

i completely understand your concerns as i would have the same worries but if he knew your pregnant he would alow for that i hope. pregnancy in itself can cause tooth damage via calcium intake.

i advice you see him or you gp again about your concerns and if they say it is ok use a antibacterial mouthwash to safeguard yourself 3 times a day " corrisidil" is good but expensive. you can have it on perscription though so ask them for it.

good luck love
