6 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. 9 You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 11 Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an evil thing again.

I think that the bible needs to be read with an understanding of the intent, instead of everything being taken literally. I don't agree with the literal meaning of those verses, no, but I do believe that the intent was to say that there are other things that entice us away from our spiritual nature and God. It is not talking about the gods of other religions, because Allah is God to the moslems, and the god of the Jews is the same God of the christians too. No, it is saying that we must keep our faith in the creator, and not forget about him and follow other desires - false prophets with false ideas.

THE REAL HELL IS PARENTS BURNING THEIR CHILDREN IN FIRE
TO THEIR GODS

Duet,10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
2Chr.28:1 Ahaz was twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem: but he did not that which was right in the sight of the LORD, like David his father: 2Chr.28:3 Moreover he burnt incense in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burnt his children in the fire, after the abominations of the heathen whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel.
Jer.7:31 And they have built the high places of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart.Jer.7:32 Therefore, behold, the days come,
saith the LORD, that it shall no more be called Tophet, nor the valley of the son of Hinnom, but the valley of slaughter: for they shall bury in Tophet, till there be no place. Jer.19:2 And go forth unto the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is by the entry of the east gate, and proclaim there the words that I shall tell thee,
Jer.19:3 And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle. Jer.19:4
Because they have forsaken me, and have estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other gods, whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocents; Jer.19:5 They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with
fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind:

Every Christian who does not follow the will and word of their god will certainly perish in hell.
So they must obey these instructions.

Yet they don't. I don't see any Christians answering this question.

So they all will burn in hell, along with FSM!

Either Bible is all true, or it is not.

You can't ignore parts of it - if you do, then you can ignore any part, and thus makes the Bible a book not written by god, but by Kings and false prophets

Have you noticed that this was never enforced? In fact, that because, in many cases, when it was not enforced, Israel fell into decay and bondage.

Imagine if the parents of Edi Amine would have done that to him? How about the parents of Manson?

That is God's Law it's not open to be agreed with or not. You either keep it or not.. I am relieved that Jesus is there to forgive me for my weakness in keeping the LAW..... Jim

Deuteronomy that sounds like something nasty. Why do you think God stepped in it? What exactly is it anyway? Is it something we should look out for?

Most Christians if they were there at the time would accuse Moses of being a false prophet like they do of Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him).

If I was there I would OBEY him!
