I constantly hear many christians say that Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) is a false prophet because he commanded his followers to go to war to an extent.

Yet, how many of you christians would have obeyed Moses, a prophet of God, if you were in this situation:?

Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.' " 28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. 29 Then Moses said, "You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day."[ Exodus 32:27-29 ]

The answer is: the majority of christians would have never obeyed him, and probably would have called him a liar or a 'false prophet' like they do about Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him).

Note, the only reason Moses commanded them to kill their own brothers, neighbors etc. is because they worshipped the calf.

Mimi, your statement shows your ignorance of Islamic Jurisprudence.

Islam doesnt say you have to kill yourself to get into heaven.

Islam actually only commands war if it is just.

Islam also commands husbands to be good to their wives.

I am just saying that christians have no right to reject Muhammad (peace and blessings of God be upon him) sa a prophet of God. May God guide you to the truth.

I'm liking this question!

As a christian, I can agree with half your question, that we are ungrateful to God. Who can deny that?

Many, many people did not believe that Moses would save them, yet they were sure proven wrong! I don't reject Muhammad because he commanded people to go to war, I reject Muhammad because his war aims are so contrary to what the bible would agree with. Back in the era of Moses, things were very different, because Jesus was not born. When Jesus was born, things changed dramatically, because all of a sudden Jesus is hanging out with tax collectors and sinners. The new command in the bible to love your enemies along with many other ones came into play at that point in God's great plan. Before then in the saving and spreading of christianity, war was a part of God's plan. Now it's not.

I put my trust in the bible.

Muhammed isn't here any more, but they are blaming him for what is happening now, with the radicals.

Don't be so angry, not every Christian says these things. I don't. I think Muhammed's message was more important than his actions and his reasons for war were justified.

Also, Jesus got crucified for being nice to everyone and criticizing the corrupt and unfaithful people. Moses is less important than Jesus, so bad comparison. Besides, a lot of battles and stuff were exaggerated, but to have a spiritual message. The message for the passage you used was don't worship idols or you will die.

One more thing. Christians didn't exist when Moses was alive, but he led the Jews out of Egypt, which is why they followed him. He also did the red sea thing or didn't, but that's not the point.

ok Muhamd (whatever whatever whateva) is a false prphet who commands his fellow people to kill themselves so they will be "good" enough for christ and to abuse their wives because men are better. Theink about it is this right or just or fair. When God loves all his children and doesn't like killing but if the people who were killed in Exodus were doing wrong and being sinful and not asking for forgivenes then why keep them on the Earth to harm others. And these Islam are listening to a book which is always changeing and cancling his own laws. When God makes sence and shows his love to us everyday.

The world does not have room for people who tell others there religion is wrong. The wars of the past are of no concern. Your desire to sow the seeds of War with your judgmental and hatefull comments are what is Evil TODAY. We have no time for your war. We are on one planet and we are all Human beings and we are all brothers and sisters.
If you Love your God you had better start reading your Koran and doing what it tells you to do. It does not tell you to ask hatefull and hurtfull questions like this. AS a matter of fact it tells you your question and your attitude are sinfull. There is ONLY ONE GOD AND YOU ARE NOT HIM AND HE DID NOT GIVE YOU PERMISION TO JUDGE ANYONE. Just some freindly advice from someone who does not want to see you BURN in the hell you beleive in.

Christ's teachings do not allow us to kill anyone. We consider his teachings to supercede Moses and other Old Testament lines, including circumcision and dietery laws.
