Everyone does sit ups the same way, hands locked behind your head...and you'll have to do push ups on your toes too, NOT your knees...

Locked behind their heads. I know because I've graded many PT tests.

Per FM 21-20. You must keep your fingers interlocked and they CANNOT break apart at anytime otherwise you will be terminated from the event regardless of how many sit-ups you've already done. You must do a minimum of 54 in order to pass. However I recommend going for the maximum which varies between 78 and 82 depending on your age group.

Soldiers usually have problems with sit-ups and the run. So if you can do both. You'll be fine.

No, actually, females and males have the same standards for sit ups and sit ups only. It helps me to put my bun high on my head and wrap my fingers around it when doing my situps. If your hands come off your head you're disqualified, so I like to have something to hold on to.

for the sit up, hands have to be interlocked behind the head, but the amount females have to do is different than men.
