Just make sure you say you want to teach "English", not "Enslish", LOL!

This information should help you, so long as it doesn't discourage you!

Do you speak Korean?

Anyong!

First, do not violate any Visa stamps you have within your Passport.

Should the Korean Government find out, you would be either fined, deported, or probably both.

Should you be lucky enough to get a few students to teach English, you should beware.

Parents are fickle about expenses for their children. When the time comes for parents to pay, they could demand to see any College Degrees or Visa Stamps which allows you to teach.

Should you not produce any proof of Governmental sponsorship, the parents are legally not liable to pay; they could also turn around and inform the Government - you get fined, deported, or both.

I suggest getting a city government website and get the answers to your specific questions from them.

Also - if the kids are lazy about learning, the parents automatically blame it on the teacher; that loses you students.

In a Korean parents mind, it's the foreigner who cannot teach properly, not their kids being lazy.

I can only say you're in for a lot of pitfalls trying to teach English.

Will need more information about you situation. What is you current visa status?

For now: If the question is if you need to be a certified teacher, the answer is no. If you the question is if you can teach without a degree, the answer is no.

I would think that it would depend on the place. Have you applied to any positions? They place in which you apply should let you know what the qualifications should be. How about teaching private lessons? I do not believe you should be required to have a license if you are teaching private individuals. Good luck :-)
