Hi, I am a college freshmen and currently work at a really nice burlesque strip club and have saved up money for spring break but the thing is my parents think that my friend is paying for us to go to orlando fl but infact it is me. They cant know about my job or anything like that but now my mom wants to talk really fast with my friends parents to just make sure everything is ok and stuff. I dont have any options right now and I wish I could tell them the truth but they are much too close minded. IS there anyone willing to pretend to be my friends mom and talk really fast to my mom? I will give you more details and etc over email.. anyone willing to help me out?

ok look I know its lying and it hurts alot to lie to anyone expecially my parents but if you only knew the circumstances you owuld understand. I really want to tell them the truth but I just cant afford to quit this job. I have alot of fun and make really good money. I just want to go to florida to busch gardens to have a nice clean spring break.
i grew up really sheltered and my parents are very close minded. I would tell them the truth but I cant quit my job. Not to mention I dont want my parents to be disappointed in me because they would never understand how safe the strip club i work at is and how it isnt even really a strip club and how i still can keep my dignity.. so please stop giving me a hard time and answer me if u can do it, dont answer if ur going to scold me. i feel bad enough.

Ok thanks for the advice and stuff but let me explain. Ive never been to disney world or anything like that. I saved 1000 dollars to take me and my friend on a three day trip to busch gardens and sea world. my parents know her parents arent going and everything, they know the complete truth about the trip besides whos paying for what. The only reason i cant tell them is because they would number one cut off my phone second stop paying for college and god only knows what else. thats the only reason i cant tell them the truth and believe me Ive been battling in my head about this. my mother is an alcoholic and is in an awful mood tonight, the trip is tomorrow and i just cant tell her the truth now because she will flip. So who can help me with this? Please?

Sweetie, you are in college. That's what college is for... to establish yourself as an independent adult. What involvement do your friend's parents even have in this? Tell your mom where you are going so she knows you'll be ok and tell her whatever you want about how you or anyone else is paying for it because you're an adult now.

You're in college and shouldn't have to have mom and dad talk to the other girls' mom and dad about a trip... sounds like they're still having separation anxiety and growing pains. If I were you I'd refuse. Are they paying for your college or something? There's no reason to lie, you're an adult. Lying just makes you less of an adult. If they want to be sappy and run your life tell them that's what they had the first 18 yrs for. I know 18 yrs of something is a long time to all of a sudden not have anymore, but they're going to have to grow up as well and enjoy their own life now.

You are in college, why is mommy still micro-managing your life ?
Tell her you love her BUT you are over 18 and do not appreciate being micro-managed like a 13 yr old.
Lying always backfires . . . she would be calling the other parent every day to make sure things are OK.
Distraction / diversion / evasion is better . . .
Not the best , but better than the fabricated lie .

God I hate to sound preachy and I am not so moral that I would not do this for you. I probably would. But here goes anyhow, I know you don't want to dissapoint them. But it is your god given right to be loved unconditionally by your parents and as such, there should be nothing you can't tell them. No one else in your life will love or is required to love you unconditionally. Please tell them. If you were my daughter, I would be worried but respectful.

One lie will follow this one and so on. At the end you will get caught. Better to tell the true today, even if it painful.

If you are a stripper you don't think much of yourself. Quit that low life job and find a respectable one.

why can't you say that u got a job and paid for it? You don't have to explain what job it is, but just say," I didn't want to tell u , but I had a job to pay for my trip."

Have someone pretend to be her mom and then have them call your parents.

I'd help you out but I don't think you should go. Do they think her parents are going too?
