jake is correct, it will take a while so you have to be pretty determined. to get a sculptured torso i also invested in a pair of muscle vibrators you put on your tummy when sitting down and within a few weeks all your mucles start to show! thye coat £24.99
also you can use herbal drinks to flush out your bodys toxins and shift a few pounds off the middle and that only takes 3 days!
good luck!

Try sit-up but instead of sitting all the way up, suspend your body 2/3 on the way up and hold it there for about 10 counts. Initially do it 12 times, then 24,then 36 times or more depending on your strength. Make sure to tuck in your stomach and exhale slowly while sitting up. Most people bulk their stomach (without realizing that) when they try to sit up. That won't help. Also try Latin dancing.
If you are not overweight, you can INSTANTLY get the look of a flat stomach with a "ballroom/latin dancer's posture". Keep your back straight and neck high, but don't raise your shoulder; raise your ribcage; suck in your stomach, but breathe normally (if you have to hold your breath to flatten your stomach, then you are doing something wrong). I do this posture all the time, and only I know that i have a tummy. Everyone else thinks I have a flat tummy. I am 42, and I rarely exercise these days (I dance).

LOL only a week? Well, I'm a 14 year old guy, and a proud owner of a 6 pack, but the miracle of the human body that is my manly washboard abs (horribly conceited and shameless gloating) took months. You can do it. The secret is not how many crunches or sit ups you do (although they are very important), but it is how much fat you burn. You need to supplement your crunches with running, water, and low fat food. Go on a one-week Subway hike if you have a subway near you. I have the luxury of a subway within a biking distance.

Unfortunately you can't get rid of it in 7 days. Your best bet would be to go to a doctor/personal trainer and find out what your actual bodyfat % is.

Professional bodysculpters/bodybuilders etc often have to lose many pounds of fat for competitions, and the way they use is to eat 5-6 small meals per day consisting of mainly protein. Protein uses more calories to digest, and eating very small meals (the size of the palm of your hand) every 3 hours raises your metabolism as well.

The best you can hope for is around 2-3lbs of fat loss per week, assuming you do 3-4 cardio sessions per week, before you have your first meal of the day. If you try and diet by not eating your body will respond by holding onto fat and losing muscle, which you don't want...

So try a mainly protein diet for a couple of months, see what happens. Have fruit/veges as well though. A meal could consist of cottage cheese, protein shake, lean chicken, egg whites, fish etc.

Do 300 sit ups a day,but not all at once or you will put yourself in the hospital.Break them up.100 in the morning,100 in the afternoon,and100 in the evening.Your stomach will be flatter than Jessica Alba's in less than 7 days.

cardio workouts (like running, bike riding, swimming, even jumping jacks) and ab workouts (sit-ups, crunches, etc) would be what I would try
