Yes, there is a golden pineapple. It's a brighter, deeper yellow and much sweeter than the regular one. They look the same, though, unpeeled, so you have to trust the label or display to be marked correctly.

crushed pineapple (pureed),diced pineapple--those are both canned..then of course there's fresh..canned is usually better for baking. Hope this answers your question!

there are different types. maui gold,fresh,canned all sorts of kinds.
