I've liked this guy for about a year and on V-day I decided that i should do something about it, i'm a really shy person, and I didn't think I'd have a chance with him because he's popular...and I'm just me! So, I had my guy friend send him a box of candy with a note that was signed with my initals, which I never would have done if my friends hadn't taken charge when I was freaking out. When he got it, at first, he couldn't figure out who it was from but he was excited. After a few days he started to realize it was me, so just to make sure he knew for sure I had my friend ask who he thought it was, he replied "I have an idea but I can't tell you because I don't want to freak her out". So, it took me 15 days to tell him, but after class 1 day I told him and said that "I'm not sure if you feel that way". He said "Well not really I see us more as friends and I really want us to be friends". How do I know if he really meant the being friends? I can't even look at him! What do I do?

If he's not making a big deal out of it, then why are you? Don't act crushed about it, just shrug it off and smile or you'll make him feel akward. What's done is done. You can dwell on this and make things worse, or you can forget about it and start a friendship with your crush. Who knows, after getting to know you, he may like you in time. Time is the best healer, so take things slow and chill. Hang in there, dear, it'll all be fine. :)

Continue to be his friend. Something like that shouldn't ruin your friendship. Move on and find another guy. If he wasn't serious then he will come around, especially if he sees you with another guy. I think it was good that you took the chance, even though it didn't work out as you had planned. This is far better than wondering, "what if". you know?

You're freaking out waaaayyyyyyy too much about this, you were brave in letting him know that you like him and if he didn't want to be friends he would of just said "what are you talking about, that's dumb, please don't come near me" he wants to be friends so, take hold of this chance before it gets away. GOOD LUCK!!!!

well he emphasized it he just means he doesn't like you as more than friends. he could either want to just not talk or actually be friends. just let him know that from now on you only want to be friends too and get to know him better (actually become friends) yeah
