Just wondering what some prices people have paid recently for a basic obedience course for their dog. I know someone who paid $150.00 for 10 weeks and I know someone who paid the same for a six week course but that was at a kennel who boarded the dog trained it and then added an extra 2 days (with no extra cost) to go over everything with the owner they also gave her a nice booklet on what they went over as well as a video of the work they did with HER dog. I thought she got a deal another friend of ours says she got taken. So how much have you paid for how long and for what services??

I live in NJ/NY area and paid about $120 for each of the three levels of obedience (puupy/intermediate/advanced) at Petsmart. The first two levels are 8 weeks --1hr long. The advanced level was 6 weeks-1 hr long.

I would NOT suggest going to a place where they train the dog and then give it back to you. It is so important that you are actively involved in the process plus it is so much fun. A lot of dog training is teaching the owner how to behave and enforce rules for the dog. I really enjoyed the petsmart training and would highly recommend it.

I just started agility training at a canine academy and that is $140 for 7 weeks-1hr.

Training costs will vary depending on who you go to and where you live usually.
