hi am 24 about 5' 5' and 9 stone 4lbs. Last year i lost my appetite and was quite ill and lost 1 1/2 stone. Even though i felt like crap i was happy with the weight lose as i have a little boy who was 3 at the time. The thing is i have put on a little weight and i don't feel comfy with it at all. Im just wondering if you know a good 'quick' diet and exercise routine to help me and ideas on how to maintain the weight? Im quite active as i do a fair bit of walking in the week due to getting to work. I have also stopped going to the gym as i found it boring but i do 50 situps a day as well as a waist disc trimmer. Honest Answers please. Thanks xxxx

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

The golden rule to weight loss:

eat less, move more

Buy a pedometer- even a cheap one will do the trick. Put it on or in your pocket in the morning. Your goal is 12000 steps per day. 3-4000 of these will come from normal activity. Do whatever you can - even walking around your house or jogging in place - to reach the goal. When walking or jogging, move your arms up and down to work out your upper body. Use hand weights if you have them. Keep doing the sit-ups.
Lastly, lower your calorie intake. Replace a meal or two with fortified cereal and then eat one regular meal. Whenever you get an urge for an unhealthy snack, try drinking a bottled water or eating an apple before you give in. This may lower your urge.

I have been following this easy program for two weeks and have lost 4 lbs. and at least an inch from my waist.

Good luck and get moving!

No "quick" diet is good-

I don't know what a stone is? But try building to a brisk walk 3-4 times a week for 45 minutes or so..

I'm not great with explaining diet stuff- If you get your heart going you'll metabolism will increase and you'll burn more off.

Don't set a time goal- Just stick to it, be consistant and let yor body do the rest Good Luck! :-)

If you can, drink 8 glasses of water every day. (I actually record on paper every 8 oz I drink.) Make a HEALTHY decision as to how many calories you should consume each day. Then record your foods and total the calories every day. Increase your walks, even if you skip the sit-ups. Walking is it's very own waist trimmer. Brisk walking is best. Good luck.

Well done in losing the weight. If you go to your local sports centre they may have an instructor who will listen to your requirments and work out a programme which suits your needs.
Good luck.

stick to lean meat, fish, chicken or soya and stay away from red meat. stock up on plenty fruit and veg and no treats try yoghurt and honey, except at weekend, you can eat as much of this stuff as you want without worrying. dancing about the house relaxes you and burns calories as well as lots of vigorous cleaning and you could try to increase your situps, good luck
