What do you think is better? I am trying to decide which one to try. Which is more fun?

Both are tons of fun!!!!!! But...
Snowboarding has a steeper learning curve. In other words... you can become good at it quickly.
Skiing takes time to learn. You'll start with snowplow then slowly progress through the other stages long before you become really good. With snowboarding after a few days you can be pretty good...linking turns, having fun and looking hot!
If you're young, you'll do much better than if you're 25 or older. If you're young, I would suggest that you try both, then decide.
Which ever you do... take a lesson. It will help you learn quickly and you'll enjoy it more.

Snowboarding for sure. you ask why well because it's so much more fun and plus when your skiing you have more of a chance of doing a split and hurting your self, my friends do it some times and then are really sore obviously they're guys haha. Any ways when your snowboarding you only have 2 edges to worry about other than 4 and snowboarding is alot more exciting. With skiing you also use poles obviously and snowboarding you have to worry about less, and just worry about not running into people. so I think it's snowboarding beacuse I'm a snowboarder and I think it's so awesome and daring, it's just all around fun! I hope this helped. :]

I skied for 14 years and i started snowboarding 3 years ago. Since then i have sold all my ski gear and i will never look back. One of the biggest reasons i love snowboarding besides all the fun freestyle stuff you can do, is riding deep powder. You get so much more "float" on a snowboard that you do on skis. My favorite saying is "You will find alot of snowboarders that were once skiers but you will never find any skiers that were once snowboarders"

Snowboarding

Ask 100 people and get 100 answers. Better how? It's a matter of personal preference so neither is better or worse - they're just different.

If you're looking to spend less on equipment, snowboarding is definitely better. If you have to have 4 edges, skiing is better, obviously.

Conventional wisdom suggests that skiing is easier to learn and harder to master. Snowboarding is harder to learn but easier to master. That's a generalisation obviously but it seems to hold true. Your mileage may vary, obviously.

Which one do you think you would have the most fun doing? Choose that!

If you're a first timer, you should definetly try skiing first. This way you can get the feeling of what it is like to move on snow.

But, if you have any expirence in skateboarding, or surfing, than snowboardng might be the way to go!

I ski &&&& snowboard, and I like them both equally...so I would just go with which one you think would be more fun.

Also, if your a beginner, I would highly recommend taking a lesson, or having a friend/ someone teach you

I would suggest trying both. I ski and wish I could snowboard too. I've tried it, but at my age it hurt too much to learn. I would like to be able to do both.

I say skiing because snowboarding just looks like a bunch of skidding and snow boarders never look like they really have control over themselves. And plus, you look like a punk kid if you snowboard. But I've never tried it, it might be fun
