Ok yea so im 13 and weight 116. I used to weight 130 then on Thanksgiving I wieghed 109 but i gained a lot of weight. All i think about is weight and i want to lose 5-10 pounds by at the most summer.

Sarah, you are already at a good weight. Since the media is always showing skinny models I can understand young women's obsession with weight. It's not fair and not your fault. but as you are a dancer I understand your need to stay fit. Don't not eat, eating is important to everyone! Eat healthy and stay away from junk food, sugars, and bad carbs such as anything white as in white bread. Waking is good, go to the gym, but don't overdo it! Love your body the way it is, you are not fat and God gave this body to you, keep it healthy! (((hugs))) and take care :)

sigh...girls need to learn that they are beautiful the way they are. but if you want to lose a few pounds, the best way to do it would be:
1. Drink Water
2. Eat Right
3. Run
4. Lift Weights
Seriously lift weights. Most girls shudder at weightlifting, but it is literally THE BEST way to lose weight. Lifting builds muscle, which Burns Fat. You don't have to lose weight. I'm a 14 year old guy, and I weight the same as you. I'm 5'7 and i'm really skinny. I have to lose weight for wrestling (not WWF, that's bogus), and I'm sure dancing is the same way. Good luck. It's your body and it's your decision to lose weight.

I'm going through exactly the same thing as you! Im 13. I used to weigh 130 I weighed 100 last summer i weighed 112 at thanksgiving...and now i weigh 120. Just eat right, and get plenty of exercise. Although you don't sound overweight its important to stay fit. I will recommend to join a gym.

116 is skinny. You don't want to lose weight, trust me. You want to maintain your weight. Keep on getting exercise and eating healthy (note that I said eating HEALTHY, not "stop eating").

im a 13 yr old boy and i lift a 50pound curling bar i recommend jogging every other day sit ups and leg lifts maybe even squats
