Why update a pack of lies? It's a fantasy book that has been bastardised by Scribes and Kings alike..I don't like that ,so I'll change it, better leave that out.. We'll add this it sounds good.. Do some serious research and you will find that the stories you hold so dear have Pagan roots.. You have tried to stamp us out for 2,000 years, guess what?, we are still here and we will reclaim what has been stolen from us.. We will be still here when Christianity is nothing but ancient history.... )O(

Their is no need to update the bible. it's a historical account of events, it's a quidepost to life...........(some things never change,) and it's LIVING. "
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1
I guess you can't know where I am coming from, but, every time you read the Bible, it truly is alive. It speaks to your every need. You can read a passage of the Bible one time and get something meaningful from it, and the next time you read the exact same passage you get a whole different meaning or lesson from it. It's amazing!
You know, Paul, originally Saul, didn't believe in God. He was busy running around persecuting the Christians, until he met with Jesus one day. He was stricken with blindness, and he didn't have his sight restored until Jesus was done with Him. He was such a believer after that, that he started teaching and preaching to the very group of people he had persecuted. And scripture records how the 'scales' fell off his eyes, and he could see. He could see and understand the Word of God. It's no different now.
Why do you doubt something that has stood the test of time so very long???? If it weren't true, it wouldn't still be around
after 2,000 or more years.
Let's just say that everyone who doesn't believe in God try something............pray to Jesus.........."Lord, I am an unbeliever, and a sinner..............will you please forgive me of my sins, and show me who you really are? Are you the one true God or not cuz I am not believing you to be the one true God????" Then, read the Bible, starting with the new testament (it's an easier read, and more relevant for today.) Get a copy of the Message or an NIV translation. Do this for one month. After that month, let's see how many of you are still nonbelievers. I did the very same years ago. I have had an amazing spiritual journey ever since. And I cannot wait to meet Jesus face to face. I cannot wait to meet David, and Moses, and see GOD!
Thanks for writing. It just gives me yet another opportunity to witness to the Grace and Glory and the Power and Might of God.
I was put on earth to work out my salvation with fear and trembling so that I might live forever in heaven!
I'll be praying for you as you try this 'experiment!' May God Bless you!!!!

Actually, the Bible has been updated several times, if by updated you mean translated into contemporary American English. See, for example, the New International Version Serendipity Bible, or the quotations and paraphrases by Rick Warren in "The Purpose Driven Life", or the translations by the Rev. Eugene Peterson.

1. There haven't been any generally accepted prophets who have been willing to update the Bible.
2. What do you call the Book of Mormon?

people should start to understand the meaning of The Holy Bible...not to update it! the Bible is an encoded-type book, and while you are reading it you should try to understand the deep, spiritual meaning of it! for example people laugh about Jesus's: turning the other chick to one who slapped you before...this means that you should be spiritually love that person, you shouldn't think, talk,or act bad about him! this is only a small example...who are we to update something that was given as an example,as a model in life?!

Any additions would subject the writer to charges of heresy and in the past meant death. The book of mormon is a modern update and like the original, made up fantasy and in this case a fraud

Why? Because ..."All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever." And this word is the good news that was preached to you. 1 Peter 1:24-25

it ought to seem that Zoroastrianism has been as a lot as date. So now apparently like a face-lifted faith. fortunately, the actuality does no longer favor a face-raise. So no, the Bible is in simple terms effective the way it really is.

Your defination of a great book is what?
A book that details slavery, incest, child abuse, murder, torture, sadism, hatred of those different then you, and on and on. If you call that a Great Book then your ideas are really screwed up!
I call it a brutal outdated book that should never have been looked at as anything but horrible fiction!
