im from kansas i was woundering if any body knew about how much it would cost and how bad it hurts

How much it costs depends on the shop. Every shop has different prices, the place I go charges $25 to $30 per hole so doubles, which snakebites, industrials, anything done two holes is, would be $50 to $60. And pain depends on you. I heal fast and don't feel much pain so none of my five piercings have hurt to get done. Call around to local shops for price ideas, the cheapest is not always the best just to warn you. Judge about how much it should hurt by how you handle pain in general. If you don't feel much or it takes long lasting extreme injuries to really hurt you should be fine ... if paper cuts are like murder ... maybe plan on doing them one at a time instead of in the same sitting. A normal lip piercing is $25, so for 2 it would be $50. On a scale form 1-10 (10 being the worst) the pain would be a 3. Good Luck!

Pain varies from person to person based on your tolerance to pain. The piercing itself is done and over with rather quickly so that itself is somewhat tolerable. Keep in mine your lips will most likely swell afterward and be sore. The soreness and swelling usually goes down in 3-14 days. Be sure to keep the piercings clean and take care of them while they heal to avoid complications and problems.
Cost varies from shop to shop and is based on the person doing the piercings and the type of jewelry used. Stainless steel is usually standard and tends to be least expensive while titanium, niobium and gold are more expensive. Cost should not always be a factor. If you want the job done correctly by a skilled professional, don't worry about the cost. But it should be about $50-65 USD (estimated, plan for it to be more and include tip)

A good place to research piercings is www.bmezine.com. Lip piercings tend to run about $40 a piece at a reputable piercing studio. DO NOT be tempted to cheap out - you get what you pay for.
As to pain, it's not anything to worry about. I have multiple piercings (in some pretty painful spots!) but it hurts for about a second and then your body chemistry kicks in and you get a lovely rush. ;) It's like crack - without the horrific side effects! Just kidding. :D
