Those are not Christian churches, those are cults.

One person said to my pastor, "Those kids are chewing gum in church!"
To which he replied, "No, the churches are chewing gum."

Yes in a manner of speaking, many do. This is a little unnerving for me when I ask if someone is a Christian and they respond...I'm a Catholic, I'm abaptist, I'm an evangelical....they don't realize it but they've already told me that they are not a Christian by saying one of the above rather than just "YES".

In a very literal sense people do it as well; rather,n than following the doctrines clearly defined in scriptures..they choose to follow their Church's doctrines.....even a child can understand the precepts put forth in the scriptures such as graven images, praying to or through nobody but Christ, adultery, fornication, lieing (including made up preacher stories to expound on a point), gossip, bearing false witness, stealing...etc Why is it that so many will not become children in malice and in understanding as men??? Most stay men in malice and children in understanding. If a tree won't grow how will it produce fruit? What will become of that tree?

(Luk 13:6) He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
(Luk 13:7) Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why encumbereth it the ground?
(Luk 13:8) And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
(Luk 13:9) And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

For Christians, Christ is the Messiah, and God is almighty. Churches, denominations, rites and rituals all take a back seat.

To anoint means to rub oil on someone's body.
To my knowledge no christian does this to a building.
