We are saved by grace, not by works, so that no one can boast.
We are saved by grace alone. Recall that in Acts 16:31 the jailer asked Paul and Silas how to be saved. They responded, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." The jailer believed and immediately became saved.
Close to 200 times in the New Testament salvation is said to be by faith alone - with no works in sight. Consider the following:
John 3:15 tells us that "everyone who believes in him may have eternal life."
John 5:24 says, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my words and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
In John 11:25 Jesus says, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies."
John 23:46 says, "I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."
John 20:31 says, "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
If salvation were not by faith alone, then Jesus' message in the Gospel of John - manifest in the above quotations - would be deceptive, stating that there is one condition for salvation when there are allegedly two - faith and works.
I must emphasize that we are saved by faith for works. Works are not the condition of our salvation, but a consequence of it We are saved not by works, but by the kind of faith that produces works.
Eph 2:8-10 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this: It is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

The ten commandments were given to Charlton Heston....no Moses in the old Testament that has been more translated by humans than the New TESTAMENT. all HAVE BEEN TRANSLATED INTO SOMETHING LIKE THE TAX CODE SO WHERE Jack-LEG PREACHERS, and High tech money grabbers can say whatever they want to get $$$$$ from people. I think that the ten commandments were an example from God for people to live by with the promise of a Savior in the future. Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe this but can't decide who the Savior is. Maybe you are your own Savior. Maybe you need help and it is within you to reach God himself. Or I could be wrong.

It doesn`t matter if you follow the 10 Commandments or not !! If you haven`t accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and ask Him for forgiveness of your sins , you won`t have to worry about getting to Heaven ! Being good will not get you into heaven without the Saving Grace of The Blood of Jesus.

No, there are no verses that say that we have to keep the 10 commandments to be saved. People like to take one instance with Jesus and the rich man out of context, but I explain the purpose of the Law in my study below in-depth.

The Rebbe Jesus named 6 commandments, none of them naming God, that would help, but the big kicker was he stated that a person must give up all to the poor and follow him to assure heaven.
Haven't seen much of that in the Bible or in the contemporary world. I guess Pat Robinson's materila goodies and money don't count.

Romans 10: 9 & 10 tell us exactly what to do to be saved and the 10 commandments were in the old testament, however they are still a very good guide to live our lives by.

You pray to God in elementary terms. Praying to the departed or significant different and youngsters is the comparable as what "mediums" do. You pray to the single you worship, and that's God. Deut 18:11 enable no person be got here upon between you who sacrifices his son or daughter in?? the hearth, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who's a medium or spiritist or who consults the lifeless. 12 absolutely everyone who does those issues is detestable to the Lord, and due to those detestable practices the Lord your God willchronic out those international locations till now you. 13 you need to be harmless till now the Lord your God. a million Chronicles 10:13-14 Saul died because of the fact he replace into untrue to the Lord; he did no longer save the know-how of the Lord or perhaps consulted a medium for training, 14 and did no longer inquire of the Lord. So the Lord placed him to death and became the dominion over to David son of Jesse.

The commandments were the Law.....Jesus fulfilled the Law by sacrificing himself ....We have fulfilled the law by being baptised into his death.....We keep the law due to our pure heart which is the outcome of a resurrected life.
If you are sincere God knows it and you will be forgiven...however a Christian continues to grow and mature sin will be a rare thing.
Dead to Sin, Alive in Christ Romans 6:1
1What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?

I recommend you read the Book of Romans for yourself. Find a readable version, like the NIV or the New King James, and pray and ask God to teach you personally. He said He would do this, if you simply ask in faith (see James 1:5-8)

To answer your question, Did King David go to heaven?
No.
Act 2:34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says, "'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand,
Act 13:36 For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption,
The 'go to heaven' part is not the complete salvation for mankind.
