Papyrus is old-fashioned-looking, easy-to-read, and cool.

For authenticity, however, use HERCVLANVM IN ALL CAPITALS, WRITE "J"S AS "I"S AND "U"S AS "V"S. (Herculanum is their attempt at a Roman font.)

I like the gothic style Old English - it was used a lot for illuminated manuscripts back in the Middle Ages.
