how come if a guy who isn't really attractive looking hits on women, they are usually creeped out and act like he's being a creep, but if one of those younger guys who have that young looking cute boy look( usually in their teens or early 20s) women usually take it as a compliment and are really nice about it? this applies to all women, even women in their 30s. why is that? and isn't it unfair?

just to let you know, i'm only 18. but i don't really have a 'cute boy look'. i look more like a nerd in his mid 20s.

Hey there now - here is some advice from me that you might find insightful. I am a former model and my boyfriend now for over a year, who I love to pieces is 300lbs and some ladies might say that he is unattractive but here's the deal: Some girls are rude, in fact, unfortunalety, a lot of people are rude and shallow. If a girl actually has substance to her then she'll realize that there is so much more to a person that how they look on the outside; the quality within is paramount and if a girl can't appreciate that then she doesn't deserve your time. Looks should not matter so much. I have always (except for two) dated and maintained serious relationships with less than perfect looking guys because I have found that they treat me vastly better and are more appreciative. What attracts women to men is genuine caring, (women can smell a guy that's just looking to get laid 10 miles away) self confidence (just the right balance of humility, yet not so confident that they seem cocky), and a great sense of humor, a gentlman-like demeanor, and good personal hygiene habits. A girl that is worth your time will be responsive and will appreciate a compliment even if it is from a guy is a wheelchair or an amputee. They are lovable people too and if they took the time to give a girl a compliment the least she can do is be a lady and say thank you in a kind and genuine way. Look at this trait in women as a good thing: it screens out the shallows, the flakes, and the ones that probably aren't worth your time. However, gentlemanly persistence does pay off, it just has to be done correctly. I wish more women would be more open to dating unattractive or older guys and i wish more guys would be the same. There are some wonderful people out there that you'd swear had a heart of gold and that you don't know why they'd love you so sweetly. I still am crazy about my boyfriend and the way he treats me. I feel so lucky. Good luck with this.

The rules change as you age. If you flirt when you're young, teens and 20s, it's considered cute. If you flirt when you're older, you have to do it subtley or people will think you're a dirty old man. It's unfair. Kind of like it's unfair that men will flirt with young girls but ignore older women who are just as single and just as much fun if not more fun!

That's a limiting belief. There are men with average or less than average looks that can attract women easily because they understand that there is a lot more to attraction than just looks.
Also, if inside you ARE a creep, then there is no hair good enough, teeth white enough, or clothes expensive enough that is going to overcome that personality deficiency.
Get your game together.

It is unfair. I personally take those younger guys flirting with me as just that, flirting. However, I am probably an anomaly in the world of dating, because I really don't care what a man looks like, they just have to have confidence when they talk to me and not talk in riddles or drop cheesy pick-up lines.

It's not a guys looks it's more their actions, that have always urked me I've had friends of all kinds where looks are concerned, but if a guy has acted like a perve then i don't give them friendship and it is friendship that leads to many a romance.

Just like men, they look on beauty of the skin, instead of beauty of the heart.
Women aren't perfect either!
They only tell you that to make themselves look good!
You don't really believe everything the beautiful lady says, do you?

Life is unfair - don't worry about it if she did that she's no one that deserved you anyway.
