I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and will undergo a mastectomy. Today I went to the Dr. and was shown pictures of women who have had the proceedure done and I really felt horrible seeing the end result of what the breast looks like after reconstructive surgery.

My question is this: How does it feel to meet someone new and be comfortable with my body when I have this breast that's totally reconstructed and none of it is actually mine? I will have scars on my breast and no nipple for a while. Will a man see me as being attractive after the fact?

If he truly loves you, it wont matter...Have you check into reconstruction? I know people who did this and they turned out looking great...I had a cancer scare and that is what my plan was, after talking to people about it...Honestly, your health is more important than the twins and what others think about them....
I sending you gentle cyber ((((HUGS))) i hope you recover quick from your surgery...Take care...

Hello
I am concerned about this as well because breast cancer runs in my family. The way I see it is if a guy just loves my breast then he didn't love me. I am sure your an amazing and strong woman! You will find someone to love you if not they are missing out!! Also, I researched the options and I guess there's a fake breast you can put under your shirt or you can get reconstruction using other tissues or silicone. I read that you can get a nipple tattoo or a fake one made as well.

Lol I have breast implants. They look and feel real.Nobody has ever realised they are saline! I feel in life we have to be as positive as possible.I have seen pictures of women who have had a tattoo of a nipple put on their fake breast.
It's not the end of the world. You have to be strong, think of your family. You will come through this.x

If he is really likes you, then it shouldn't bother him. He should still be attracted to you for the persin you are, not your breast. I'm sorry to hear about it though but I hope everything goes good. I wish you the best! Good luck!
