it's better to be YOU
Though short people get picked on a lot and Tall people are glorified sometimes.
It's not always bad being short! At least you wont be the one nominated to take down the Christmas Decorations!

I'm 5'2, relatively short.
My answers below are to be deemed as slightly sarcastic, not at all exaggerated and true all the same:
Reaching for the healthy cereals in a grocery store (always on the top shelf) is a form of exercise for me.
Petite clothing resemble "old lady" clothing.
My local tailor recently bought me a bottle of wine since I keep him in business.
State Troopers pull me over constantly. They thought a 12 year old was driving.
I am always put in the front row of a group photo. Hence, I get the full body shots.
A 5 lb weight gain on shorter person is the same as looking like you gained 15 lbs as compared to someone taller. Same concept as 1 human year equals 7 dog years.
Try buying a bicycle when you are short and forget about buying a motorcycle(unless you can afford to get one customized).
My friends tend to use my head to rest their elbows, while they read the newspaper when waiting in long lines.
Shorter people(mainly men) make less money than tall folks. I am not sure about women.
You are more apt to be less noticed in a crowd. Forget about finding me in Mardi Gras, even if I was topless.
The point is, I am what I am. I would know of no other way I would want to be.

A lot it depends on what you do for a job or sport activity. Being tall would be good for b-ball, while being shorter under 6 foot might be good for a football running back. In the work force being tall would be good for a painter or sheet-rock person. Then a shorter person would do better in being a plumber or any other job that may take a lot of bending or stooping.

It is good to be tall when you need to reach up high and short when you need to duck quick. I like being short but I am a woman. A lot of famous people are short,....Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Britney Spears, Madonna are all of short stature.

I would say tall, only because you would carry your weight a little easier. A few extra pounds on a short person will really show.
