It is not modern it came from the tree of knowledge it will not and cannot prove existance or non-existance of God. It was put here for a test, just to see how over come by vanity we would become.Vanity is the original sin commited by Lucifer and his crew (before man was created) just before they fell. As it is on earth and so it is in Heaven. Has the message not been clear enough, are certain humans not doing exactly what certain Angels did, and holding themself's in such high regard. At least we got a warning.

This question is nuts. Science is not a 'thing,' it is a method for discovering how 'things' work. And vanity? The whole point of scientific method is that knowledge is constantly iterated - a good scientist would be glad to see ten years of their work in flames if it meant that a better working model had come along and that we were 1 step closer to understanding the universe. In other words, the whole point of science is that nothing is sacred, which is as far from vanity as anything could be.

Contrast that with the vanity of believing that the creator of the universe cares personally about the amount of time you spend by yourself in the shower.

Yes, Science is a God given thing. If science and spirituality could walk together, the world would be perfect.

Science is knowledge and the search for knowledge. God gave us the intelligence to go as far as we went. But we need to use this knowledge for the good purposes and that's what He expects from us. That's what I think.

Yes. Wisdom comes from God. Therefore, the wisdom of Science can only come from God. That's why the wisdom of Science cannot contradict the wisdom of God. In fact, as many well-known scientist like Einstein and Hoyle have discovered, science can lead one to a knowledge of God.

And it is called the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

I believe God gave science... as we are to subdue nature and use it. I agree with the vanity part, though.
