Seek out fellow students that may be better at that subject area than you. A little but of peer tutoring may do you some good. When I was in high school, I used to tutor other students to learn English as a second language. You may fare better by "learning" from someone you can relate to better than a teacher.

That is who you are. Its o.k because you are good in every think else. What you want to do is make a lot of playing cards and pass around you and your friends with different words then keep trying till you know the words and meaning. You will learn if you want to. Read every night.

The best secret in mastering any subject is through research and regular practice. Try the libraries and look for good writing and speech books.

It's a curiosity indeed. I was, and still am, excellent at English but awful at maths.

Look it may be your teacher not telling you what you are doing wrong . . . . . thasshisfault.
In the absence of anything specific all I can recommend is that you find novels you can enjoy. Read a lot.

I'm 37 and can't spell for toffee, but I can read, do maths, etc.
Life don't end cos you can't spell.
What the hell is spell check for eh?
Knock em out with what you can do, don't worry about the other stuff.

just do what i do and use the likes of Sparknotes.com and Bookrags.com .. n cheat if you're stuck =D lol
