Obviously one should be able to get direction for life, as well as not be bothered by death, and to be secure in God's affections.
John 10:11-18, 1 John 3:1-3, Romans 8:1

What I really like a lot is the presence of God, I mean when the Holy Spirit is manifestly present and not just present. We have to live by faith a lot of the time.
Love, joy, peace, tenderness.
(Acts 2:17-18, Galatians 5:22-23)

I like the really supernatural stuff - miracles etc. It thrills me greatly. It is 95% hope and 5% experience for me currently. (Galatians 3:5, Jesus' ministry in gospels, early church ministry in Acts, biographies of christians down history, especially since Azusa street revival.)

1. If you accepted the gift of Salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus, you get a "get in Heaven free" card when you die.

2. You get to go to a Christian church, dress nicely, hang out with Christian women, make joyful noises, and all the other cool social things associated with belonging to a Christian community. Sounds like a winner to me.

Serving God to me is at the very least just living. God gave us life and look at all the beauty and possiblities (yes there are negative things) this world holds. God gave each and every one of us life, and we should enjoy and pursue every opportunity we can.

Rewards in heaven; suffering in his name gives you rewards in heaven. "Blessed are those who hate you, and curse you, and cast out your name as evil. For in the name of God rejoice, FOR YOUR REWARD IS GREAT IN HEAVEN". (Luke chapter 2 I think). It also says in the bible that you'll be rewarded with jewels and crowns when you get to heaven, and it'll be tested by a fire. The more good you did, the more rewards and the fire wouldnt burn up your earnings. However, if you didnt do much, the fire would consume your rewards.

Matthew 5:3+
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
