My boyfriend and I have made a promise that we wouldn't have any association with his ex gf who is 4 years younger then him, and he previously cheated on me with. Now about a year later he has re added her on myspace and messaged her, (but said it was to make fun of her and her new bf) and re added her # that he has rememberd to his phone, which i made him delete.I know to some this isn't considered cheating, but should i be upset when we made a promise and he broke it? What should i do?

Okay .. if he is telling the truth what kind of guy is that? what if it was you he was making in fun of? You wouldn't want a guy like this would you? nah.. so.. something tells me then if hes a guy ya love then he has to be good so he cant be mean to her.. so.. perhaps hes lying therefore hes a skank now as he may be lying but in either case.. hes bad for dissing her and her new bf or just wants a back up.. and this is scary. By the way myspace causes a lot of problems with couples as I know been there. Couldnt look at my ex's profile no more. I suggest you get out of it and live outside that.. and start looking for a guy who wouldn't trash a girl or cheat on her.. People feed people with crap and theiur egos go up.2 can play the game. You could add her bf and tell him what hes up to and then the new bf is on guard at least.. he may be a nice guy?? see how it works.. a lot of headaches and hassles blah blah but it can rile up your bf as well.

The only thing you can do is trust him. Yes you should be upset because he did break a promise to you, but you can't be with him 24/7. As he has already proved, if he's gonna cheat, hes gonna cheat no matter how much you limit who he talks to. If you can not trust him, you may as well end it sooner than later. I played this jealousy game in one of my previous relationships, and its not going to work. He technically has not cheated yet, but if you believe he will it may be time to call it quits. Ask yourself deep down what you want from him and out of this relationship. Obviously he does not have any regard for your wishes (ie him not talking to her anymore), so how much does he really value your relationship?

Yea you have every reason to be upset. You need to tell him if he really loves you he wouldn't do something like that to hurt you. Talking to a girl that he previously cheated on you w/ isn't something he would want to do to someone he loved and cared about.

Stand up to him and tell him to make a choice between you and his ex. What a loser. When I break up with a girl, that's it. I don't talk to or have ANY contact with my exes. Trust me, it's a great policy. Get some self esteem. You deserve better!!!

if you can't trust this guy, you shouldn't be with him. unless you like pain, in the end he'll just end up hurting you. if you aren't willing to let this go and put up with his faults-his pretty serious faults of lying and cheating-i would end the relationship.
