why is my 2003 nissan sentra hard to start?

03 sentra is hard to start, takes a good amount of cranking in order for it to turn over. I've changed the spark plugs, but still the same thing hard starting. I'm thinking maybe fuel filter, but anyone's good suggesting would be greatly appeaciated.Thanks

the sentra has issues with the fuel pump 95% sure its your problem as well ...

p.s if you are a do it yourself er i recommend getting the part from a Nissan dealer ask for the complete assy because just the fuel pump it self is very difficult to replace

My soninlaw works at a Nissan dealership. Seems the 2003 is a problem of hard starting, that due to the poor seating of the piston rings and a general lack of compression at start up.

Use a can or Risoline , that will keep the cylinders lubed with oil and keep the rings seated onto the cylinderwals.
