First, you must portion your food. Eat mainly vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean proteins and low fat or nonfat dairy products. While sweets are ok, do not eat them very often, and only little things. You must also burn calories, so you have to do cardio work. Try running, walking or jogging at least 5 days a week. Record what you eat and count calories, aim for about 1200-1500 calories a day.
Good Luck!

That's alot of weight. It can be done, but you'd need to eat right, and not alot of it; but enough to keep up your metabolism. You'll have to run ALOT. But the real secret is to lift weights. Seriously...lift weights 3 times a week, resting, maybe actually doing you running on off days. Lift weights if you want to lose the weight, and take protein, because if you lift weights, you build muscle which actually BURNS FAT without you having to work. It would be a tough schedule to follow, but you have to remember your goal. Eat right, exercise hard, And Drink Water! Still, 20 lbs is a Whole lot, and 10 weeks isn't a safe amount of time to lose that much weight, but it's your body and i can't do anything but try to make you attempts as healthy as possible.

Don't buy any over the counter stuff, it won't work. Drink plenty of water, get one hour of excercise (actual sweat) per day and eat lean small portion cut of meat go very minimal on the bread or try to do no bread or noodles for the whole 10 weeks and try to go low on the potato products. Eat 6 small meals instead of 3 large meals. Another good diet I like is

As you can see in all of the other answers, whole grains, veggies, and fruit and protein are critical. it is good to eat many smaller meals a day. Don't be fooled by servings on labels, limit yourself. Also, cardio and weight lifting daily was great for me. 1/2 to an hour an hour a day. Hope this helps!

I very much doubt that losing 20 lbs in 10 weeks will "change your life." It sounds to me like you have some more serious issues to deal with.
Please do not starve yourself or you will get sick. Try to eat a balanced diet and exercise more.
Talk to your parents or another trusted adult if you feel you need to.
Take care!

My mom and dad have been on the low carb diet for awhile now, and it works wonders for them. You can have eggs, cheese, meat, salads, and green beans. My mother lost a lot of weight in a few weeks by eating eggs for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and meat and green beans for dinner. You'll have to get rid of pop, candy, pasta, and bread...but the results are amazing.

3 grams of fat per meal...15-30 carbs per meal. Eat 6 times a day...3 times 15 carbs, 3 times 30 carbs.
