Does it appear to be air in the bulge? If so, the bird could have a fungal infection in the crop. Tell your parents you want to give him a probiotic. It will fight a fungal infection, isn't expensive, and won't hurt the bird if it's not a fungal infection. I don't know where you would find a probiotic in your area. I hvae to purchase mine online, as none of the local petstores stock it, but that may not be the case where you are.

That is probably the simplest thing it could be, and the only thing you could hope to treat on your own. You would have to try to give the bird the probiotic directly by syringe, which can be very tricky, even dangerous for the bird.

Could this be a some food bulging from her crop? If she is skinny this would be a lot more noticeable. You really need to do something if she is underweight. I understand it's difficult when you are at the mercy of your parents for funds for vet trips, but you should in a very adult way continue to pursue the matter with them. She could need worming too. Moulting can make a bird a bit cranky. But it just sounds to me like your best bet with this many issues is to take her to a vet. Best of luck Mate!

The bird needs to be seen by a vet. I can tell you that the problem isn't a punctured lung, but as far a diagnosing, unfortunately the only option is to be seen by a vet.

Best of luck.
