oranges for the vitiman C will help you fight the infection
hot tea with honey or sugar will help your sore throat and cough
steam will help clear your sinuses (hot shower or put you head over the sink run/fl with hot water and cover your head & sink with a towel like a tent)
zinc losenges will help the sore throat but if you eat too many you will get an upset stomach
Zicam had a spray you spray in your mouth that is supposed to shorten the duration of colds - it is not a medecine although it is by the cold meds - it is actually just a large dose of vitamins
Airborne is another vitamin powerpack that is sold by the cold pills - you just drop one in water let it disolves then chug it

Hot showers, hot baths and lots of steam. And drink a lot of water to flush out the toxins.
I'm not sure if you mean that you don't want prescription medication or if you don't want to take anything at all. If it's healthy for you to do so, there are over the counter things you can try such as Airborne, Vitamin C, or Echinacea. Hope you feel better soon!

I normally go to the nearby country club and sit in a steam room. The menthol really helps to clear the sinuses out. But take a bottled water so you can stay in longer, otherwise it will get too hot to stand.

Chicken Tortilla soup (or any chicken soup), Hot tea with lemon and honey, Lots of rest! Lots of water and orange juice. And you might want to heat up a pan of water and, with a towel over your head, hold your head over the pan - but not too close.

Okay, this is going to sound nutty, but my grandma did it when I was growing up and now I do it for my family and it really helps! Lay on your side and put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in one ear. You'll hear it start to bubble. Let it bubble as long as it takes and when the bubbling subsides, turn your head over and let it drain out and do the other ear.
