I can't comprehend someone now knowning if they filed a tax return or not, but if you call the IRS they'll be happy to tell you.

If you lost your 2005 W-2 you can get a copy from the employer who issued it. If you already filed your 2005 return and just need to know what the numbers were, call the IRS and request an extract of your 2005 tax return. There's no fee for that and you should get it within 6 - 10 days. If you need a copy of the W-2 as it was filed with your return, you'll need to ask the IRS for a copy of the return. There's a $39.00 fee for that and it takes about 6 - 8 weeks to process your request.

You can do both at this site. AccuVerify.com For 2004 request your tax return transcript, if you filed there will be a transcript, if not you will get a letter saying you didn't file. For 2005 request your W-2s.
