First, a note regarding the word "Trinity". You will not find the word trinity in the Bible. It is a word that abbreviates a concept. That concept being that God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three distinct personalities within a single Godhead. It is like the concept of light. Is there such a thing as white light? Yes. Does it exist as one light? Technically, no. It exists as a compound unity of equal illumination of red, green and blue spectrum. So white light does NOT exist? Of course it does. But in the form of three-in-one. Science can explain it, and we have just gotten used to it. In the eternal, such things are equally possible and exist. God is light, and in Him, there is no darkness at all. What color? I would say pure white.
Here are specific scriptures in both the Tonakh and the New Testament. Quotes are by God, Jesus, disciples and apostles.
A Child is to be born as a man who will be the Mighty God.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Jehovah says that He and the coming Redeemer are eternal.
Isaiah 44:6
"Thus says YHWH, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer [Yeshua], the YHWH of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.'"
Jesus confirmed the above as well as His being the Almighty.
Revelation 1:8
Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Again, Who is the Redeemer? Who is the Savior? YHWH.
Isaiah 49:26
"All flesh shall know That I, YHWH, am your Savior, And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."
Before He was born, Jesus identified the trinity.
Isaiah 48:16
"Come near to Me, hear this: I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; From the time that it was, I was there. And now the Lord GOD and His SPIRIT Have sent ME."
Three distinct personalities are seen in Jesus' baptism.
Matthew 3:16
When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Jews sought to stone Jesus for claiming to be the eternal.
John 8
“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?”
Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Jesus says that He and the Father are ONE (heis in Greek which means literally the number 1) Jews seek to stone Him for claiming to be God incarnate.
John 10
"I and My Father are one."
Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.
Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”
The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God."
Jesus does not rebuke Thomas for calling Him God, but rather promises a blessing to those who would believe later.
John 20:28
And Thomas answered and said to Jesus, "My Lord and my God!"
Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
Paul confirms that Jesus is God.
Titus 2:11-14
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men... looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

The doctrine of the Trinity is clearly laid out in the Bible. It doesn't make sense to us but if we could understand God then He wouldn't be God. From the first verse of the Bible where the plural word "elohim" is used for God the mystery of the Trinity begins.

Your problem with understanding the Trinity stems from your willingness to believe only what you can find written in scripture ... even though the rule you choose to live by can't be found in scripture either.
Jesus Christ revealed the Father and the Holy Spirit to us, and however we may choose to describe the triune God, there's no doubt at all about God's divine nature.
Not much mystery there either, other than the fact that Jesus never revealed exactly HOW 3 divine persons can exist in only 1 God.
Maybe he's saving it for later.
Until then, I'll accept it on faith.
A God Believing Christian.

Schneb gave a great answer. There are some christians who do not believe in the Trinity. The Apostles Creed has the tenets of the christian faith and if you do not accept them then there is something wrong or missing from your faith, sorry, but that is how it is. It was the church that guarded the Scriptures thoughout the centuries, in the beginning philosophy was used with faith and revelation to define the doctrine of the trinity, it was not easy. Anyway the Trinity is a mystery for us mere mortals, but Jesus said when you see me you see the Father!

My husband and I up until Dec. 2006 believed in the trinity. The good Lord revealed to us His Truth by plugging us in a Divine church after 3 months of praying for that too. God is so faithful. This is what we've been revealed and still studying & meditating on it.
Three does not equal One. The Bible repeatedly says that God is one, never that God is three.
Deut 6:4 Hear O Israel, the LORD your God, the LORD is one.
We've been very blessed to have a pastor that knows the ancient Greek very well & is his native tongue. Through him the Lord has revealed alot of His truth to us. We are still learning ofcourse & studying scripture. It is so awesome!
It's good to see that many have been revealed this truth. Seek and you will find. Hallelujah!
May the Lord keep leading you to share this truth & keep posting these questions.
God Bless you!

Deuteronomy 4:35-39 confirms your point as well as Isaiah chapters 42-46, John 14:9-11, and Colossians 2:9-10.
Actually I don't think God is one person either; God is Spirit. Jesus is the one person in whom dwells the fulness of deity.
Another thing you should be aware of, many people who say they believe in the Trinity do not define God as three distinct persons, but they believe the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one God, which is correct.

You may think that as rubbish but it is this that keeps the search to reveal the truth on until one's end. Can a child play alone and create things and get appreciation? A threesome would be more reasonable and understandable. Why not think that God in three persons go about creating everything one sees in steps or stages: from huge and lifeless to huge and living and then finally decided to create you and me in his own image. He (they) mould the first human from mud and then blew into him his spirit and that became a living soul. A threesome creature with spirit soul and body. I thank God for giving this wisdom to people to coin or to understand Him as a triune God or a God of trinity.

religion is complete rubbish!
Here's some Facts about christians that most christians don't know about:
hell was created by christians - so shall they go there!
christians have KILLED more people in the history of humanity than any other group.
christians have persecuted millions of "non-believers" just because they DIDN'T believe in "christianity!
christians are by far the most brain-washed - brain-dead believers in the world today!
Here's the Solution, even for christians:
Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

in basic terms somewhat area observe: Confusion comes from the enemy(devil) one million Cor. 14:31 God isn't a God of bewilderment.... If the enemy can get you confussed and it extremely is a few thing which you problem approximately continuously, the he can shop you in distance of all the different problems with God. Dont permit this replace right into a wedge so badly which you dont in basic terms enable God to paintings in you. I be conscious this could be a widespread question continuously. perhaps the perfect ingredient could be to ask God to coach you the fact approximately this. maximum people who answer on indexed under are actually not precisely "Spirit" lead.

Believe in the Bible but maintain your reservations on the people who will interpret them to you. There are those that wears a habit but take care that not all who wears them are the angels sent by God. Trinity is not of the real God....www.thename.ph
