Oh sure they can kill with high tech weaponry but the Professioal leaderrs the Genrals let men gety slaughtered in Hospitals as well as by lousy equipment.Kill each other in a friendly way, rpae the vidctims of over 16 yars of constant misery and blow the hell out of country and now we can't figue out if we cut and run stay and alughter or just blow the whole place up
No units have ever had as free a reign as todays in Iraq, no matter the whining of grunts who know diddly squat of political issues
How a militry welcomed into country as saviors could of then been so stupid as to turn whole country against them in less than 3 months is unbeleivable.
HOW?
By incompetenet leaders and military trained to make war to make war.
The amounts of graft by Generals and military professional contractors is unparalleled in history of world and led to our troops going into Iraq with shoddy food, vehicles, and untrained men and women.
We send our youths on the cheap, to protect fat contractors

The proof is in the pudding and Iraq is a blood pudding and nothing else.
Get off it. the American soldier has the easiest combt operations he has ever been in as far as personal danger to himself, Iraq is a turkey shoot from the begining.
Sure our grunts can blow hell out of things against a country that has no military, so lightly armed as to be almost unarmed, and still 4 years later the country is a mess.
More civilians been killed and robbed by our soldiers than enemy combatants.
I said the country was raped in the process. Who cares about Iraqui women and children, you got it made? Innocents are being killed and raped and all I do is look away, am I just as guilty. That is professional whoredom.
Don't BS me about herosism and all that I know door busters who just wanna get back there and get some more, and snipers and troops making bets on if they can hit a guy or not.
Most in Iraq have REMF position and easy duty, the profession military bureaucrat. Blunder after Blunder

A soldier can do what he is told to do and allowed to do, and is not any different than a factory floor worker in that respect.
RVN 66-67 3-degrees ect, education does not make one any more able than uneducated soldier to see what is wrong around him if the only environment he has ever been in is the one he is in a presently.
The professional military suffers just as does and industry. Industry that has more money hires large professional staff, leans down on the workforce below , its middle management more concerned with careers that depend upon kissing up blame the workers below them for failures and the worker works harder accomplishe less because the system he works in is broken beyond his control.
You have the untrained training the untrained, who end up teaching survival instead of effeciency.
Equipment is bought that the worker knows sucks and he is supposed to produce more so he finds way to cheat the game, steals whatever else he can time etc, and follows the system.

No one gives a damn what wives think in this discusion you are mere add ons paid for by the taxpayers and only know what your old man tells you.
I know men who have been there quite a few in fact, and I have seen chandeliers, gold picture frames and the extra items from Iraqui familys homes including US money all right here on FT. Lewis, Mc c and if one goes to local pawn shops and asian gold/ jewelry buyers, along with coin shops you see lots more.
Short bus reference- today all a man needs is one point above legally retarded to join same as my time.
The US was a baby killer during my time, tho I personally did not kill any that I know of but know men who did, and today the US has been a baby killer in Iraq for a few years, AS A NATION.
No I am not anti war but am anti this war as it is not a war nor was Vietnam.
Both unnecessary. Sargent, Personel now retired, friend and 7 realtives: Iraq muli times, all say many want to go back and volunteer, why is that? Don't BS me.

oops for you who cross all ther T's and dot the i's. I missed the punctuation between Sargent, Personel; now retired. a friend etc etc...
We can argue on merits of how professional this military is but its ineffeciency has caused many un-needfull deaths, your comrades and many Iraquis.
While I know our military is needed to keep enemys at bay they should only be used when that is the last recourse.
Once I too was a professional, damn good one, yet it was for naught and 55,000 men whose lives could of ben spared are now gone.
Some of them deserved to die for some things they did, most didn't and I know of the Esprit de corp of men in arms and it is not bad, but the cause for which one fights is the ultimate decider.
Either that or one indeed is a Professionall soldier, a Mercenary and do not criticise any man who wants such. I guide such men, civilians, and while I may respect their profeciency in arms, that does not mean I think their occupation is any higher than ordinary work.

yeah "old man" seems appropriate you cant even find the spell check, any way my brother happens to one of those so-called untrained men! he is the furthest thing from it!
I digress, what is professional about today's military oh idk maybe the fact they give their lives while others sit back and insult their integrity, honor and values choose your words more carefully.

I'm shocked the people before me got through the spelling errors. I could not. If this person's first language is English, I want to vomit. If it is his second language, then good for him for making such a long winded effort.
Some people perform their jobs in a professional way, others do not. Like every organization, the military would prefer if everyone performed their jobs in a professional manner. Unfortunately, like in every organization, there is going to be some douche bag who does not behave in a professional manner. It is unfortunate that you assume those douche bags who rape and murder represent all of us. They certainly do not represent me. You people who stereotype all servicemembers as evil baby killers are just as bad as the Republicans who stereotype all liberals as godless cowards. I happen to be a Liberal, Christian Soldier, and would prefer if you could refrain from stereotyping me in any way, because you are obviously too small minded to comprehend anything beyond the black and white.

Wow, once I got through the spelling errors, I assumed you were saying that the military is taught to slaughter, kill, and maim indiscriminately. My husband is a career military man (enlisted, not officer). This whole time, he had me believing he's a welder, not a killing machine....isn't that something? Should I believe that story he told me about designing and welding together manifolds to bring fresh water to the victims of the tsunami? Or should I assume he was raping and pillaging instead?

You cannot say that every freaking soldier that has gone to iraq has raped a 16 year old girl, you cannot say that every soldier in iraq dosnt know anything about politics, I deeply respect every soldier over in iraq, even the 4th ID guys (I was 172nd SBCT)!

Your reading and writing skills prove that you are not even close to being intelligent enough to be involved in this conversation. Why don't you try putting on a uniform , serving your country , get an education while you're at it , then come back and ask this question when you have a little more experience and maturity.

We? You got a tur* in you pocket. I wouldn't want to be associated with someone of your limited scope. Give me one soldier to 50 thousand of you slackers anyday. By your writing you have never served nor do you intend to. Run with your buddies to Canada if the draft comes back or you might have to give something back to your country.
