i lost a lot of weigt by eating small meals throughout the day istead of 3 large ones i had about 5-6 smaller meals. also doing some type of physical activity after every meal, even a simple walk around the block, or a few sit ups or something. Good Luck :)

I am justt elated to hear you so excited to get started. So many people go into despair when they get news like that. Keep that enthusiasm first off because you will most likely find that losing weight is a slower process than you think. Second, make sure you put flexibility into your workout. Don't say you will exercise every day if you know you won't. Simply say, I haven't exercised in a couple of days, lemme go do that. As far as dieting, I am not a good authority for that I struggle with it. Basically, jus hang in there and don't give up when you see the progress is slow, and be flexible Also, find an exercise you like such as a sport or dance. OH YEAH. BE SAFE!!!! If you have any questions on how much is too much, ask a professional.

Well you are at least old enough to make sense on here - unlike most kids.

Don't do anything crazy- but you can start a healthy eating plan and do some light workouts. Since you might not know a lot about nutrition, etc now you should try some sort of guide made by professional nutitionists (and talk to your parents!)

I am not that great at keeping up to date with my progress so I use a online service (from menshealth). It helps me chart my progress and keeps me up to date on how much I should lift each time and what exercises to do. They have a diet plan too, though I haven't used it. It lets you schedule workouts around your schedule, and your diet around what you like to eat.

My fiancee used the program below for women- please bear with me, I am just going to cut and paste their quote from the site - she has been able to keep her weight off and looks better than ever... you can always try out the free trial (link below) - good luck!

"Jillian's hardcore exercise routine is customized for your body, your needs, and your goals. Her online program will teach you excellent exercises, how to break bad habits, and the right foods to eat for your body type. Let Jillian help you shed pounds, increase energy, and get fit--finally! 1) Pantry rehaul!!! Chuck anything unhealthy in the bin! Anything high in sugar, sodium, bad fats (trans and saturated). Load up your fridge with fresh veges and your pantry with complex carbs, like wholegrains, legumes, wheat pasta etc. Drink heaps of water and herbal teas! Ditch all sugary drinks!

2) Exercise! Run, run and run some more! And do some weights. More muscle = more fat burning! Be careful not to overtrain, make sure you give your body rests and set yourself goals. The more exercise you do the less likely you are to eat unhealthy food - why would you want to go and undo all that hard work?

3) Reward yourself! You CAN do it!! Believe in yourself. Set yourself goals and reward yourself when you achieve them.

4) Treat yourself every once in a while! Eating healthy is a life long commitment, it would be unrealistic to say "I'm never eating chocolate again!". When you do have a treat opt for dark choc (72% plus cocoa), it's actually good for you in small amounts, very high in antioxidants.

Best of luck! Don't give up, it gets hard for all of us sometimes! Try and make your new exercise and eating regimes a plan for life :)

Stop eating all white bread (no bagels - they equal 5 pieces of white bread), junk food, sugar snacks, sodas, pasta. Cut down your portions of starch (potatoes, rice). When eating salads - no more than 1 tblsp. of salad dressing.
Divide your dinner plate into quarters. 1 quarter meat, 1 quarter starch & 1/2 vegetables. DO NOT eat after 7:00 at night. Drink 6 - 8 glasses of water a day - every day.

Start walking...outside or on a treadmill. Start slow (depends on what you can handle)...work up to an hour a day. As you get stronger walk faster and start other exercise - abs, lifting weights etc.

That's a good start.......

I am about six feet tall and 140 lbs. and tend to be a bit of a diet freak! Make sure you exercise (like walking a mile a day) and eating right. Watch what you eat, watch your calories and carbs. For ex: instead of a bagel for breakfast have some fruit and yogurt. Also drink alot of water and stay away from any sugary drinks like soda.

tip one: see a nutritionist
tip two: burn more calories than you take in
tip three: exercise 3-5 times a week for 30+ minutes a day. start off slow
tip four: don't lose more than 2 lbs a week. otherwise it will not stay off
tip five: drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and cut out soda pop and other sugared drinks

well i would say dont eat so much, watch how much you eat, drink a lot of water and the key thing is to excerse!! go to a work out place you like and find a 24 hour one that works at your schedule. but if you drink a lot of water, eat healthy foods, not eat so much and exercise you wil lose weight, the hard thing is to keep doing it and mean it. the only way to lose weight is when your really serious about it, if your not serious and ready to be serious, you wont loose weight so you gotta be comitted to doing this! good luck! you can do it!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Get started today!
