are they talking about. Please define science if you disagree. Example: Science has discovered that stars emit radio waves, which are received on earth as a high pitch. God mentioned this in Job 38:7: "When the morning stars sang together..."

Science expresses the universe in five terms: time, space, matter, power, and motion. Genesis 1:1,2 revealed such truths to the Hebrews in 1450 B.C.: "In the beginning [time] God created [power] the heaven [space] and the earth [matter] . . . And the Spirit of God moved [motion] upon the face of the waters." The first thing God tells man is that He controls of all aspects of the universe.

This gives me a little insight into humanity, judging from the hatred and bitterness in these responses, I see why there is so much strife and war in the world. I always thought that true liberals were a little more tolerant and willing to let others have opinions. A lot of anger, without much intelligent recourse. Why so much anger towards the Bible? The attitudes displayed in these responses are just as venomous and spiteful as you say Christians are.

Regarding the pentateuch, much of ancient religion is just precisely what you claim is scientific about Leviticus. Most religion is simply answering the questions where did we come from, which foods may we eat, do I eat the yellow or the white snow? Religion, myth, was what passed for science at one time (but then religion ossified and science kept moving).

Come to think of it, it's really when people wrote down this religious doctrine and called it doctrine that the system began to run off the rails. Writing was part of the problem. The writing hand that, having writ, fumbles for but cannot find the eraser.

explain how a star emitting a radio wave that no human could possibly hear could be described as you have put it. there is no science, no turth not even a plausable theory here.

you have to add words to the scriptures to make them fit into your arguement. are you god now? do you think god incapable of putting these words into his book? why would you follow a god that needs a human to correct his errors in grammar?

DANIEL IS AN EXAMPLE AS CAPTIVE IN BABYLON 606 BC

Dan1:3 And the king spake unto Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes; 4 Children in whom was no blemish, but well favoured, and skilful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge, and understanding science, and such as had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

What are you talking about?

Science is the process we humans use to understand the world around us better

there is a lot wrong with what you just said...
Science expresses the universe in five terms time, space, mass, and energy. Not motion and power.

Saying that stars sing, and that stars emit radio energy is way different. Not all radio energy can be converted to sound

The information that came down to man in the from of scientific knowledge was always science. It was never the work of a God informing man of these facts. The God principle was added because man interpreted man's own creations as something outside himself and created the God contruct because he knew of nothing else.

Do your research in to the ancient knowledge of the world and you can see what man has done to himself over the years. Creating a religion to believe a God was the Creator in place of man's own creation is the big distortion.

Man is the creative force on this planet not a God.

That depends. I think when they say "science" they mean the WAY facts are established.

Karl Popper's definition of the scientific method
1. OBSERVATION
2. EXPERIMENTATION
3. REPRODUCTION
4. FALSIFICATION

Despite what is said below my post, there is great and extended proof that the Bible has important scientific facts that were centuries before scientific discovery. However, science in and of itself is limited to the physical. Your soul is eternal. The Bible deals with what is eternal where science cannot venture. The physical realm will pass away, and science will pass away with it. What you want to do is latch onto that which will last forever, and that is the Word of God.

Science deals with understanding and comprehending creation. Religion deals with the understanding and comprehension of the Creator.

Luke 21:33
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Show me an example of a scientist USING the Bible to develop some sort of new technology -- within the last 100 years or so.

Not discovering it and then going back into the book and looking for a verse that fits. USING the Bible to develop new technology or make a discovery.

Well see there it is wrong already. Stars emit a radio wave all the time, not just in the morning.

You act like these people were complete morons who couldn't observe things on their own without god telling them. I can observe thing happening now and tell you about them, without science too.

Ha ha, that was really funny! At first I thought you were serious, but when I read the part about radio waves emitted from stars were mentioned in Job 38:7, well then I knew you must be joking! Pretty funny, thanks for the laugh!

Science:

1. a branch of study dealing with a body of FACTS or truths arranged and showing the operation of general laws.

2. knowledge of the physical world gained through observation and experimentation.

3. any branches of natural or physical science.

4. a precise application of facts or principles.

The bible is theology and theology is not science but a study unto itself. There is no empirical fact in the bible.. you are doing what many people do with Nostradamus' quatrains - you are merely seeing what you wish to in them.
