Is there English only universities and colleges? Can one work as a paralegal without French?

No, but your opportunities will be limited (unless you're a professor or something).

Two English universities (McGill and Concordia) and several colleges. I think some of the colleges have a French requirement; the universities themselves don't, but some programs likely do.

I'd be surprised if you could work as a paralegal without French, but hey, I've been surprised before.

You don't have too but it's a plus if you do. Learning french is not a easy thing. I speak french and i totally understand those who choose not to learn it even though i get impressed by the ones who make the effort learning it, or at least trying.

Not necessarily but you should make an effort to learn French. It is a great and very cosmopolitan city!
